DIREXIS strengthens regular mobility services after a summer of special services

At DIREXIS, we continue working to provide public transport that supports people throughout the year, on every journey and through every change in routine.

As summer ends, DIREXIS closes a season shaped by seasonal mobility services that gave hundreds of people access to beaches, natural parks and leisure areas across the region. This commitment ensured sustainable mobility during the warmest months of the year as well, offering genuine alternatives to private cars.

This season’s highlights included the Bus Parc service in the Parc Natural de Sant Llorenç del Munt i l’Obac, connecting towns such as Terrassa and Matadepera with the natural environment, as well as services bringing residents closer to beaches and leisure areas in several counties.

As people return to their routines and establish new habits, we adapt our service to local needs. One example is the enhanced DIREXIS TGO M1 route, a strategic connection between Olesa de Montserrat, Abrera, Viladecavalls, Terrassa and the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). Designed especially for university students, the service is also an attractive option for many other local residents who commute to work every day.

This ability to adapt between the summer period and the start of the academic year highlights one of the strengths of the DIREXIS Mobility model: close ties to the local area and a genuine understanding of its needs. Whether through temporary services connecting natural areas or regular routes aligned with academic and work calendars, the objective is always the same: to provide useful, efficient and accessible public mobility.
